Itinerary
Arrival at Bagdogra Airport - Transfer to Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you'll be greeted by our representative and transferred to Phuentsholing, a scenic journey of approximately 154 kilometers lasting about 4 hours. In the evening, explore Zangdopelri (Heaven Palace) in the heart of town before retiring for the night at your hotel in Phuentsholing.
Phuentsholing to Thimphu Transfer - Local Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a road trip from Phuentsholing to Thimphu covering 163 kilometers over about 4.5 hours. En route, enjoy the picturesque landscapes and stop at Gedu Town to witness roadside waterfalls. At Chuzom, the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers, see various types of stupas before arriving in Thimphu. Check into your hotel and visit local attractions including Simply Bhutan, Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), the Royal Textile Academy, and the Handicrafts Market. Later, witness the exterior of Tashichoe Dzong, a fortress of significant religious and administrative importance. Spend the night in Thimphu.
Thimphu Sightseeing
Following breakfast, explore Thimphu's cultural landmarks starting with Simply Bhutan, an interactive living museum offering insights into Bhutanese lifestyle. Visit Kuensel Phodrang to admire the giant Buddha statue and proceed to the Royal Textile Academy to discover Bhutan's rich weaving traditions. Shop for local handicrafts at the market and delve into Bhutanese heritage at the Folk Heritage Museum. Later, visit the Takin Reserve & Mini Zoo to observe Bhutan's unique wildlife. Optionally, enter Tashichoe Dzong for an additional fee. Return to your hotel for overnight accommodation in Thimphu.
Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek
Enjoy breakfast at your Punakha hotel before departing for Paro Valley. Embark on a trek to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery), Bhutan's iconic cliffside temple. The hike takes approximately 3 hours uphill and 2 hours downhill, with optional pony hire available up to the cafeteria. After exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site, return to your hotel in Paro for an overnight stay.
Chele La excursion
The Chele La excursion offers breathtaking views from one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan, situated at an altitude of 3,988 meters. Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas of the Paro and Haa valleys, as well as the majestic Himalayan ranges, including the sacred Mt. Jomolhari.

After breakfast, check out from your Paro hotel and get transferred to Bagdogra via Phuentsholing for your departure flight, concluding your memorable journey through Bhutan.
